Poems about the Seaside

Seaside

As the waves ripple around my feet
I watch the sand and sea meet
Sea birds of every sort and kind
Swooping and diving for food to find

Children playing on the beach
Watching the water they laugh and screech
Fun running in and out
Oh how they really shout

The breezes blowing are cool
Moving every little sand pool
The day is ending the sun is low
Leaving the sea with a pleasant glow

Beside the sea

The crashing waves roll and roar
Before they meet the sandy shore
It’s an invigorating place to be
Also a wonderful thing to see
The sea birds screech and call
As the fishermen bring in their haul
Fluffy white clouds drift in the sky
As a lonely yacht passes by
Peace and tranquillity is everywhere
As I stop, look, stand and stare

Poems by Jennifer Parker

The Sea

The soft swish of the sea as it hits the shore
Will stay with me forever more
Being near the sea
Brings great peace and joy to me

There’s nothing like a stroll along the sandy bay
On a calm clear sunny day
Tranquillity you are sure to find
Which helps calm troubled thoughts from your mind

Watching the sea birds dart and dive
This they must do to survive
Everywhere you look there is something going on
There are many good things to dwell upon

The gift is there for you and me
It’s all around and it is free
The breeze blowing gently on your face
As along the beach you leisurely pace
